Ghazi Rayan is a first-generation immigrant American acclaimed writer and academician. He is a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery, and practiced as an orthopedic, upper extremity, hand surgeon in Oklahoma City.

He established the first hand surgery fellowship in Oklahoma. Ghazi devoted most of his professional career serving his community, providing remedial care to his patients along with offering scientific knowledge in the form of research and teaching to medical students, residents and fellows.
